We have been very busy around here thats why we haven't had a chance to blog lately. I have been busy with interviews trying to bring on some new sales associates. After so many interviews we still don't have any news sales associates so that is what brings me to this new post.
Everywhere you hear about the job market being down and no jobs being available. I have interviewed probably around 15 different candidates that claim they are sales gurus. We start the interview and they first thing they ask "is there a base salary" if I say no they totally tune out the rest of the interview. I remember back when I first started out I didn't work off of a base salary. I worked off of straight commission. So my question is, if you are a sales guru and can produce sales like you say, why would you need to rely on a base salary plus commission? Well thanks for reading, I guess I better get back to searching for potential sales associates.
This is past year the internet revolutionized into Web 2.0 offering many new tools that offer more user interaction, social networking and more company to consumer insights. Web 2.0 has helped many business develop more growth and gain more exposure but with that it also has its downfalls.
Last Year, many of my customers were calling me to request website upgrades. As usual I went over the website checklist to make sure that I have every piece of information they wish to include on their new design. I then would ask them how they would like their new design to look. Everyone of my customers that I asked that question all responsed with " I want it to look web 2.0". The more calls i recieved asking for web 2.0 design the more I thought. I recieved a call last week from a new customer that said they would like to web 2.0 design. Ater speaking with the potential customer for some time retaining all the details I paused. I told the customer that my agency offered a design better than web 2.0, my company offers web 3.0. The customer immediately responded with "oh really, what is web 3.0" I told the customer "I dunno but it was a higher number than 2.0.
As the internet revolves, we develop new things, new tools, new ways to enchance the way the internet works. Many internet users learn of a new tool and run with it without knowing exactly what it does. Web 2.0 has been around for years but it just wasn't classified as web 2.0. Web 2.0 is blogs, message boards, social networking communities and tabeless website design. Web 2.0 doesn't sound all they glamorous now does it?
Before you call to get your website "Web 2.0" upgraded make sure you have a full understanding of what you are actually requesting.
